RTD Group: From an industrial vision to the birth of a new company

RTD Group is an Italian industrial group composed of S. C.O.M Srl, RTD Forge Srl and Italian Forge Srl, that combines expertise, technology and strategic vision in the steel forging and distribution sector.


S.C.O.M. is responsible for sales management, relying on an extensive network of contacts with leading European manufacturers and an in-house stock that guarantees short delivery times for finished products.


RTD Forge, based in Arsiero (VI), specialises in the production of hot-rolled rings, flanges, discs and custom-forged components for a variety of industries, including oil & gas, energy, heavy engineering and aerospace. Thanks to its flexible approach and fast delivery service, RTD Forge has established itself as a reliable and dynamic partner at the European level.


Alongside these companies, Italian Forge was founded in Codroipo (UD) as a new industrial challenge. Italian Forge is a young but already structured company with a modern production facility focused on innovation, streamlined scheduling and quick time-to-market.


Together, these three entities make up RTD Group, a production and sales ecosystem offering a complete service: from forging to distribution, from customisation to fast delivery. This is a constantly evolving group, where every element is geared towards excellence.

Case study – Working with BGF Group

The collaboration between RTD Group and BGF Group started with a targeted labour consultancy and HR strategy intervention. During the consolidation and growth phase of the Arsiero headquarters, the group’s management recognised the need to structure human resources management processes more solidly, from regulatory compliance to developing human capital.


The consultancy approach enabled the development of an integrated HR vision, laying the foundations for a more efficient organisation consistent with industrial development objectives. Following positive initial results, RTD Group decided to extend the collaboration, calling on BGF for personnel administration management, including payroll processing.


But the real challenge came with the establishment of Italian Forge: a project that started from scratch, with BGF supporting the company in every initial phase, from labour law support to staff structuring and day-to-day management. Thanks to this partnership, Italian Forge is now a solid production company, with 35 employees and playing a strategic role in the group.
